Where Can I See Samples?

Right here! Just click the thumbnails below to view our flagship trailer, created to promote All The Tea In China by beloved author Jane Orcutt, our trailer for BJ Hoff’s epic Song of Erin Saga, and our most recent trailer for Marlo Schalesky’s jaw-dropping new novel, Beyond the Night.

Yes, But Trailers for Books? Why?

What Does This Mean For Authors?

More users than ever are sharing and watching online video, and that makes our 1-2 minute PictureBook trailers a solid addition to your book promotion arsenal. Videos are sharable, promotable long after your book’s release date, and they capture the attention of potential readers in a way back cover copy cannot.

To learn more about why authors and publishers are using book trailers, check out the Book Trailers & Online Video article on our Author Marketing Blog.

How Can I Get One?

We are extremely selective of the projects we take on. Our storyboarding and production team members also serve as judges for the Christy awards, and as reviewers for top CBA publications, and they bring those standards with them when reviewing projects for acceptance.

The projects we choose must be well suited to video (not all books are suitable for book trailer adaptation.) They must be stories that capture our vision and imagination. Stories we can shamelessly promote to our peers, friends, and second cousins twice removed.

If you feel you’ve got a book or series that meets these criteria, get in touch with us by e-mail at picturebook@pulsepointdesign.com

When you write, please tell us the name of your book, date of publication, and your estimated budget (Costs for our trailers begin at $400), and include links to any movie trailers that feature the cinematic flavor you hope to achieve.

If we’re interested in your project, we’ll ask for several review copies of your book (electronic if the book is not yet available as an ARC). After we’ve reviewed your work, we’ll contact you to let you know whether your story is a good fit for our development team.
